Excited Emily

A couple of neat things happened to Miss Emily this week. Today when I picked her up from school she was holding a picture that she painted and along with it she had a certificate. Her teacher Ms. Valdez explained to me that she had won an art contest. Mrs. Hutchison (her favorite teacher) had entered her in a contest and she and three other kindergarten students had won. I was beaming with pride and Emily was so humble about it. I was totally clueless! In fact when Blake and I had gone to visit the school for open house we walked passed it two times. Her picture had been put on display, I thought that was pretty neat! Now I need to figure out how to nurture that talent! Her last little bit of news is that the tooth fairy came and visited her for the third time last night. The tooth fairy usually leaves sparkle dust on her pillow but unfortunately she ran out. She left Emily a ziplock bag instead with sprinkles,  so dad put it on her waffles this morning! I guess that tooth fairy sometimes has to get creative!:)
