Family Home Evening Fun

We strive every Monday to come together as a family and have an evening dedicated to strengthen our family. We don't always make the time but when we do we can feel a sense of peace in our home. A member of our family prepares a lesson about the gospel and shares it, while the other family members take care of another responsibilities. On Sunday evenings after dinner Emily will decides who does what, in most cases Emily always wants to fix the treat.
Blake and Emily decided they would fix No-Bake Banana Peanut Butter Fudge Bars, they were delicious. Here is the recipe in case you want to fix it.

1 ripe, large banana
2/3 cup butter or margarine
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups rolled oats

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup peanut butter

Finely chop banana. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat; stir in vanilla. Add oats and brown sugar. Heat and stir 5 minutes. Set aside 3/4 cups oat mixture. Press remaining oat mixture into greased 9-inch square baking pan. Sprinkle banana over crust.

Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together over low heat. Pour and spread over banana. Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture; press down lightly. Chill 2 hours before cutting. Store in refrigerator.
