Meeting Ms. Valdez

Meet the teacher was so much fun!!! It all began in the lunch room where all the first time kindergarten parents got a brief orientation. It felt a bit overwhelming, everyone keeps assuring us that everything will snap into place. Everyone including the teachers explained drop off as a nightmare, not looking forward to that. I guess you got to take the good with the bad. They are going to have a cheers and tears breakfast the first day of school directly following drop off. Blake may not want to be seen with me, I'm going to be a wreck!!! After the orientation the parents and kids went directly over to meet their teachers. In Emily's case we went over and met Ms. Ashley Valdez, she is so sweet. I am really impressed with her teacher, she is very sharp!!!  I also felt very comfortable talking with her, she's extremely friendly!!! Emily got to know her a little bit, she was mostly concerned with all the things to see in her classroom. There is a mini library and a science corner. Emily really enjoyed the science corner. It was great getting in there and becoming involved as parents to make sure Emily knows her parents support her. We're really proud of her and we're excited to see what this year will hold.
