Another fun Christmas in the books!!! Traditionally we always have Christmas dinner at my parents house. It usually consists of yucca (it's similar to potatoes, just a little zesty), pork, turrones and good old Cuban black beans & rice. We arrived early at my parents house to help with all the cooking and also to try and miss the bad weather. We all joined together around the table, everything was delicious. This Christmas dinner was certainly hard not having both my abuelo and abuela around, it all started with them. I know that we all shared the same feel of "we have to keep our traditions going." We had a fantastic time laughing and just spending quality time together, it was a great end to the year. Our family packed toothbrushes and pajamas, We figured that we might be snowed in and in fact we were!!! I loved it, we all spent the night that night. It was pretty impressive, 12 people slept in a 3 bed room house.

Our girls are very fortunate because they get 2 Christmas. They get to visit with my family, then we get to share the holidays with Blake's family. Blake family has one of the most beautiful Christmas trees I've ever seen. It is just adorned with family ornaments and twinkle lights. When you walk thru the front door you instantly feel the spirit of Christmas! We were greeted and almost immediately began opening presents. One of my favorite parts was watching Blake eyes light up with joy when he opened his jogging pants from his Nanny. He practically lives in them. Christmas was everything that we had hoped for. Spending time with family and relaxing!!!

  1. So cute! Melody said we have to make cookies like Emily did. Then we can put it on the blog and show Emily! It sounds like you guys had a nice Christmas. We got to play in the snow too, but it didn't last long, it was too cold!
